 MINEDAF VII and Other Initiatives

The Network of Ministers of Education of African Member States under MINEDAF VII is expected to work closely with other networks and initiatives of African Ministers, most notably, with ADEA [Association for the Development of Education in Africa] and with OAU's COMEDAF [Conference of African Ministers of Education] and the United Nations Special Initiative on Africa, especially in providing technical support to the OAU in the implementation of the Decade of Education Programme. Such collaboration is intended to assure synergy and complementarity between the networks and the various regional initiatives of African Ministers of Education. In that capacity, the Executive Secretaries of the three networks (ADEA, COMEDAF and MINEDAF) are at times requested to attend various consultations of Ministers, and to provide technical support, as needed.
