This training course was organized by the MINEDAF Secretariat in collaboration with with the South African National Commission for UNESCO and the University of Pretoria School of Information Technology. The course was organized on these dates for reasons of economy — in order to take advantage of the expected presence in the region of a large number of Secretary-Generals for a conference in Namibia (on 26-30 June 2000). There were participants from some 13 countries, all English-speaking.
