UNESCO Follow up to MINEDAF VII

Programme of Work, 2000-2001

The programme of work for the period 2000-2001 will attempt to consolidate the actions initiated during 1998-1999. A few new activities will be considered. Actions to be reinforced include

fostering regional exchanges, such as the implementation of the first round of the MINEDAF Regional Exchange Fellowships being offered in 2000 at five institutions of higher learning in South Africa (Cape Technikon; Peninsula Technikon; University of Cape Town; University of Stellenbosch; and University of the Western Cape);
further development of this Web site of African Ministers of Education and its associated MINEDAF Document Service;
encouraging greater collaboration with National Commissions for UNESCO of the African Member States, including focused 'hand-on' training activities on using the Internet; and
forging greater collaboration with other initiatives of African Ministers of Education.

Work Plans to be completed in the near future will reflect the actual Programme of Work for the period 2000-2001.
